Retro Mid Century Cabinet
I got my hands on this super cute MCM cabinet.....just look at those legs!! I was taking it out side from my workshop when it slipped from my hands and landed in a heap on the floor....a heap of pieces of wood...it had only been constructed with glue. This did me a favour. Imagine if this happened to its new owner. So this allowed me to create a better construction before i started painting.
After a little research I picked this funky design for the front. I used curved masking tape (yes that's really a thing) I used Dixie Belle Paint in Honky Tonk Red, made a custom orange, Colonel Mustard, cotton, Seaglass, Pure Ocean & Antebellum Blue for the design on the front. And Deep Sea from the Silk All-in-One range for the frame. The grain on the sliding doors was enhanced and sealed with Big Mama's Butta in Orange Grove. The legs were stripped back and also treated with Big Mama's Butta, it has the most amazing citrus scent.
