Using the Architecture transfer by Redesign with Prima

I knew I loved the Redesign with Prima Architecture transfer a soon as I saw it. But I couldn't picture how I would use it. When this cabinet arrived in my inventory I immediately decided this was perfect. There's arch details in the transfer that I thought would reflect the carved arch on the front beautifully.

Next I needed to decide what colour to use. Ive seen this used a lot on back, some on white, but not much else. Of course I wanted to try something new. Due to the more masculine feel of the transfer I wanted the colour to have a masculine, potentially industrial edge too. So I picked 2 colours Ive not used before for have wanted to for ages. Spanish Moss & Collard Greens by Dixie Belle Paint. I also use Tobacco Road Voodoo Gel Stain for the top. The whole piece took 2 coats of the Spanish Moss and I used the Collard Greens to add some shaving on the side panels.

Finally I highlighted the hinges, carvings and dirtied up the edges a bit with Bronze Age Art Alchemy Wax. I love the extra highlight detail that you can create with these brilliant little tubes.
