Creating a Fairground Whimsical Style Table with Dixie Belle and ReDesign with Prima
If you'd prefer to watch how I did it - here are 2 part videos that show you.
I wanted to go outside my comfort zone and try some new techniques with this cute table. I couldn't nee more pleased with the end result. I started by cleaning my piece really well, we can't get White Lightning here in the UK, so I use Elbow Grease. Once dry I continued with a base of 2 coats of Sea Glass.

I added Blueberry, Lemonade and Flamingo in sections like a glaze and wiped back to leave the colours to settle into the details of the table.

I selected the part of the Wondrous Floral transfer that worked and cut the curved edge to match as best I could. Once the transfer section was applied i was able to scuff any overhang with high grit sandpaper so the paint work wasn't damaged.

I finished off by swiping Decor Wax in Diamond Dust over all the high points in the carvings and along the edge of the table rim. It gives a really subtle pale gold shimmer.
