The Story

Gracie’s House started out when Gracie was due an upgrade from the nursery to a big girl bedroom. I wanted to add a few pieces that weren’t just the norm. I found an amazing boho bamboo headboard and went for hot pink. An oriental style cupboard, transformed by turquoise and gold for the bedside cabinet. A hand me down vintage rocking chair also got the turquoise treatment with some distressing.

Painting is Relaxing

I really enjoyed it. I actually had fun. And the pieces looked great, with bedding to tie the colours together, bright boho florals that would see her through to being a little more grown up. I enjoyed it so much I began looking for pieces to refinish and ultimately save from landfill. I even used pieces at my wedding which made it feel so much more special and personalised. So here I am, offering  a bespoke furniture upcycling & painting service and thoroughly enjoying what I do.

Painting furniture is good for my soul
